Bordoodle characteristics and things to consider before getting a puppy

🐾   These dogs like to be with you all the time.  They are dedicated and loyal, but the other side is that they can be clingy, hard to leave alone, and very attached.  You will want to get them familiar with other friends or family members and have a "safe" place that they are comfortable being locked up when you have to leave them at home.  They do require a lot of attention and activity.  We are told all of the time how intelligent our dogs are but again, the other side of that is that they can be pushy and try to take charge. They need mental stimulation and a firm and consistent trainer.  They are not well suited to a first-time puppy or dog owner.  The first year and a half is spent laying a foundation for the dog to meet their full potential and make you the "best dog ever."

Reserving a Puppy

🐾   We are currently offering all of our puppies for $700. We plan to increase the price to $1,000 in 2025.  We raise dogs for others enjoyment, this pricing allows us to offer affordable puppies while still making a profit so that we can continue to offer the best care to our dogs and support our breeding program. We offer a 3-year health guarantee that covers any genetic illnesses.

​🐾​Once you have contacted us regarding a puppy, we do our best to show you the puppies and describe their personalities.  We want to hear your expectations and what you are looking for in a dog so that we can help you decide if they are the right fit for your home. Our dogs do require grooming.

🐾We screen all potential homes.  We like to know your experience with dogs, how you plan to care for them, house them, groom them, and exercise them.  We like to get to know the interesting people and homes that our dogs will end up being a part of for the rest of their lives.  That is part of the fun for us.

🐾We do not hold puppies until after they are 7 weeks old.  This gives the puppies a chance to grow a little and better show their personalities and coats. If you contact us before the puppies are 7 weeks old, then we will put you on a pick list.  We will offer puppies going down the list in the order that we were contacted.  We do not take deposits on puppies. However, we do ask that you be prepared to choose your puppy at 7 weeks if you request to be added to the list.  If the puppy you want is not available when it is your turn, you can choose to "pass" and we will move to the next person on the list.​

Getting Ready to go Home

🐾Once a hold is placed on a puppy, we will collect all of your contact information and e-mail you a contract (click to see our                           ) along with information on how to prepare for getting the puppy home.  We will work with you to coordinate pick up.  We are willing to travel a reasonable distance depending on the situation. We try to coordinate our trips with other errands but if we are specifically delivering a puppy, we charge a $75.00 delivery fee.  We can help find pet delivery services and we can ship if necessary.  The expense of getting the puppy home is the buyers responsibility. You have the option to get your puppy chipped at cost and you can give us your puppies new name so that we can start calling the puppy by your preferred name.

 🐾Our puppies go home at 9 weeks given that we have found their home.  This allows us to give our puppies two vaccinations, one at 6-weeks and a booster at 9-weeks to better protect against parvo. The puppies will need more vaccinations after they are taken home to fully protect them. The puppies will also be wormed.

Payment and Pick-up

🐾We take payment when the puppy is picked up and we prefer cash payment.  We can accept Venmo or Zelle if it is absolutely necessary to ship the puppy.

🐾We send the puppies home with a blanket that has their mother's and sibling's scent. The puppies are on                        puppy food. We highly recommend Life's Abundance dog food and pet products. You can click on the link to order Life's Abundance Small to Medium Breed puppy food. However, we do send a little dog food so that you can slowly transition them to the food of your choice. We also send the puppies with a few treats and a small toy.

🐾You will need to bring a collar or harness and leash and a crate to pick-up.  Please also bring a bowl for water if you are traveling a far distance.
